The Producer
This Domaine has been in the Gautheron tamily for 6 generations. It is a small estate producing highly mineral Chablis. Their vines grow on the reputed Kimmeridgian soils tound in higher concentration in the best parts of Chablis. The wines are vinified and aged in stainless steel vats and concrete eggs, for a crisp and exemplary style of Chablis. Only the Chablis Grand Cru, with greater richness, is partially aged in French oak barrels.
Tasting Notes
An expressive bouquet of roasted apples and creme brulée with delicious notes of toasted almonds and lemon curd. It has a very mineral feel in the mouth and great balance.
Pairings
Excellent with scallops with saffron, butter or cream sauces and various French-style cheeses.
