The Producer
This Domaine has been in the Gautheron tamily for 6 generations. It is a small estate producing highly mineral Chablis. Their vines grow on the reputed Kimmeridgian soils tound in higher concentration in the best parts of Chablis. The wines are vinified and aged in stainless steel vats and concrete eggs, for a crisp and exemplary style of Chablis. Only the Chablis Grand Cru, with greater richness, is partially aged in French oak barrels.
Tasting Notes
Complex and rich bouquet of roasted apple, quince and lilies, with notes of hazelnuts and honey. Rich texture and great density yet very retreshing with a long mineral finish.
Pairings
Creamy risotto, grilled white fish, lobster and prawns will make great pairings.
