The Producer
The Maturana brothers have successfully combined a variety of factors to produce clean, highly aromatic and untorgettable cuvées of natural wines. Jose Ignacio is a seasoned winemaker, former technical director of one of the largest Chilean producers, but he found real purpose in this family project: working with very old vines, small-scale and organic agriculture, preserving vineyards of heritage grapes, making small amounts of remarkable wines.
Tasting Notes
Intense aromas of blackberry and blueberry shine through in this juicy Grenache! Its multilayered and opens to notes of plums, kirsch and eucalyptus. Full-bodied with sott tannins and moderate acidity.
Pairings
Cold cuts and red meats. Great with Mediterranean specialties and mains including sweeter notes (think Tajine with prunes or apricots).
