The Producer
Chateau Pilet is a family owned estate. For over five generations, the Queyrens tamily has been producing small quantities of honest wines, true to the Bordeaux terroir and the family's dedication to quality. Pilet sits in Donzac, in the Entre-Deux-Mers region (literally between-two-seas, because of the two rivers that frame the area). The vineyards are planted on rolling hills with a wide variety of soils, perfect sun exposure and natural drainage.
Tasting Notes
A pertect example of an unoaked red Bordeaux displaying aromas of plum, and cherry with hints of cedar and tottee. It is medium-bodied, dry and with soft tannins for a pertect balance.
Pairings
Works well with barbecued meats and grilled vegetables. Also nice with burger, cold cuts and seared tuna steak.
