Château Pilet

$29.00

Region: Bordeaux, France
Grape varietals: Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc
Alc: 12%

The Producer
Chateau Pilet is a family owned estate. For over five generations, the Queyrens tamily has been producing small quantities of honest wines, true to the Bordeaux terroir and the family's dedication to quality. Pilet sits in Donzac, in the Entre-Deux-Mers region (literally between-two-seas, because of the two rivers that frame the area). The vineyards are planted on rolling hills with a wide variety of soils, perfect sun exposure and natural drainage.

Tasting Notes
Nice bouquet of lime and banana, with some dried pineapple that peeks through the citrus notes. In the mouth it is light-bodied, dry and quite refreshing.

Pairings
A great match for sushis and raw fish in general, as well as specialties such as fried calamaris, mixed ceviches.
