The Producer
Michel Girard and his sons perpetuate a tamily vine-growing tradition that dates back to the French Revolution. Michel crafts this complex Sancerre cuvée from his vineyards planted in the three renowned types of soils that made the fame of the small town of Sancerre worldwide: Caillotes (limestone), Terres Blanches (white marl), and Silex (flint). The skillful combination of those three soils results in a great Sancerre: subtle yet exciting, savory yet racy.
Tasting Notes
This Sancerre has a subtle bouquet of peach, grapetruit and citrus. In the mouth it has an amazing combo of roundness and minerality with fresh and persisting aromas.
Pairings
Works great with a variety of cheese (goat cheese in particular). Great match for delicate white fish raw or cooked.
